The core of ventilation fan motor maintenance is cleaning, lubrication, and inspection to extend service life and prevent malfunctions.
Daily Cleaning
After cutting off the power supply, remove the fan blades and filter screen. Wipe off dust with a soft cloth; for oil stains, clean with a neutral detergent and air-dry thoroughly.
Clean dust on the motor housing and air vents to avoid accumulation affecting heat dissipation.
Lubrication Maintenance
Inspect the motor bearings every 6-12 months and add special lubricating oil (such as sewing machine oil or motor-specific oil).
Avoid using thick greases like butter, as they may cause adhesion and hinder rotation.
Regular Inspection
Check for damage to the power cord and plug, and ensure terminal connections are tight. Replace or fasten immediately if any issues are found.
Observe the motor’s operation after startup. If there is abnormal noise, excessive vibration, or irregular speed, cut off the power and inspect promptly.
For long-term non-use, clean and store in a dry place to prevent coil moisture damage from humid environments.
